Aziz Sheikh & Raj Bhopal

Aziz Sheikh is Professor of Primary Care Research & Development and Co-Director of the Centre for Medical Informatics in The University of Edinburgh’s Usher Institute of Population Health Sciences and Informatics. He is Director of the 14-university collaborative Asthma UK Centre for Applied Research and is a co-investigator in The Farr Institute, which is the UK’s national endeavour to scale-up data intensive research.

Raj Bhopal is Bruce and John Usher Professor of Public Health in Edinburgh University and honorary consultant in public health with the NHS Lothian Board. He is the principal investigator of SHELS. Among his special research interests is the study of migration, ethnicity and health. His books include Migration, Ethnicity, Race and Health, (2nd edition OUP 2014).
