Monoclonal antibodies against calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) or its receptor are a new preventive treatment for migraine, acting upon one of the molecules implied in the pathogenesis of migraine headache. The European Headache Federation has recently published their guideline on the use of these monoclonal antibodies for migraine prevention.
